Mission:

To contribute to state of the art research to seismic risk assessment aiming at disaster risk reduction.

 Objectives:

• Continuation and development of cooperation with research groups in Japan following the JICA Technical Cooperation Project for Seismic Risk Reduction in Romania;
• Research development in the field of: 
  • seismic hazard, seismic fragility/vulnerability and seismic risk
  • snow and wind induced hazard
    
  • structure reliability to natural hazard
    
• Increase the international visibility of scientific research of UTCB;
  
• Promotion of national and international cooperation in the field of assessment of natural hazards and their consequences.
